Camping as we all know is favorite outing along with friends and family; it always excites and never gets you the feeling of boredom. Its one of those few trips you will have with your family which you will want to experience again and again and will cherish forever.
But then again there are things we have to keep in mind when we go for camping because we all know nature is wild and when we are with family and loved one’s we don’t want any mishaps to occur .
Lets first start with the most relative thing while we go on camping that is fire, we should always put on the camp fire little far away from where the tent is put up and never make a fire larger than necessary and never start it when during stormy climate as in forest environment it spreads rapidly and don’t put wet rocks or any inflammable things in the fire as they might get you into trouble by exploding.
In case of water always get it from the cleanest and coldest source available around you and before consuming make sure you boil the water or may even use purification tablets and never collect it from the unhygienic ponds and water bodies while camping.
We always heard stories about children and people getting lost during camping but they will never go far away and naturally you need to take care that they are always in your view and best suggestion would be to always give them some activity to complete or engage them in some game. Before going for camping always let some one close to your family or your neighborhood know about your planning and the sorted out date to return and all the possibilities and always carry some map while trekking and camping and know the best place and medical joint nearby your selected location just in case.
Store your food in a clean place and make sure you don’t dump garbage there itself and after packing it take along and garbage in the city, carry loads of foil and never take food int your tent without reason and keep the screen always down of the tent and store food always under a tarp so that bears fears away if he reaches there and always keep your tent and camping venture as clean as possible.
Carry some insect and bug repellent and wear full body cloths so that you are always safe from insects and deadly creatures.
Never camp under deadwood ever and always carry bright colors so that you are visible to hunters clearly, always carry a sunscreen lotion and first aid kit and necessary medicine along with yourself and teach your children to identify poison ivy and other deadly plants and insects and possibly take a fireproof tent and always be loud while trekking to woo away wild animals and do take solid weapons just in case you need them in emergency if possible while camping.
Well these are just advices and precaution you will get used to once you make camping a habit, its not as serious and full of worries as it sounds here, so just pack up your bag and march for camping with your loved ones.
